Elliott Bay Yacht Sales Site

Elliott Bay Yacht Sales already had their own web site in addition to the complementary one provided by Yachtworld, but the folk who created it were long gone, and there was no way to update it. And, frankly, the good folk at EBYS didn't like the idea ebyssampleof paying a web master to make simple regular changes. It was a fairly straightforward task to get them online through the Joomla open source content management system. Their own hosting service still handles email and other online technology, but the site now resides with Meadow Point Publishing. Nancy at EBYS has already posted without too many headaches, and the site definitely has a more current look. Visit the site, poke around, and let me know what works and doesn't!

Coastal Marine Web Site

screenshotCoastal Marine Engine's web site – www.coastalmarineengine.com – fired up in January. Modelled after Volvo Penta's own web site but with several wrinkles all its own, it is clean and easy to navigate. The focus wasn't to wow anybody with bells and whistles, but to get information to customers, dealers and suppliers quickly and effectively. Another key to this site was to make it easy to update and maintain. The site was done in the Joomla! open source content management system. It was the first collaborative effort of Cube Free Media and Meadow Point Publishing.

Canal Boatyard Web Site

canalsitesmThe emphasis on the Canal Boatyard site was to deliver the message that its facilities, personnel and surroundings are welcoming. In short, a boatyard needn't be an unpleasant experience. The site was done in iWeb, utilizing Canal's existing hosting service.
